I do most of my clothes shopping online…
I do most of my clothes shopping online and this experience has been the worst I’ve ever had. I bought a number of things and had to return most of them. I had to contact them four times to get a refund. The refunds did not coincide with the amounts I paid because they manipulated the delivery charges that they took back. I never got a straight answer from them no matter how many times I contacted them. I probably paid more than I should have because of the way they manipulate their accounts.

They do not deserve one star
They do not deserve one star. The pulled a bait and switch - offered $50 off if I ordered $200. I ordered two dresses. They billed my credit card. Then sent email saying one of the dresses (the $50 one - not the $150 one) was no longer available. I cancelled my order. They still billed me. Called Customer service 3 times. RUDE. Today they said the $ was refunded. IT WASN'T. Save your time and $ - stay away from SS.

After years of trying to deal with this…
After years of trying to deal with this unresponsive women's clothing company I've given up. Overpriced, poor quality clothing. I had to sent much of it back because the fabric and workmanship was so shoddy. Shipping prices are ridiculous. You are charged for return shipping. When exchanging for another size they tell you that are out of that size (although it is still available on the site). Their webpage does not allow for multiple options (take a tip from J.Jill). Any search is absolutely frustrating. I will never do business with this company again. UGH.

Terrible customer service
I returned a pair of pants on July 22nd. Got an email on August 2 stating that they had recieved my return and that my card would be credited. Called on August 19th because I still have not received the credit. The rep stated that they "have been having a technical problem and that I should get the refund either next week or the week after". I call BS! I told her, I will call on Monday, if I do not have a refund I will challenge the charge. It is ridiculous to wait a month for a refund that is handled electronically. Will never order from this over priced place again!

I would give this company zero stars if…
I would give this company zero stars if I could I will never order anything from Soft Surroundings again. I returned an item because it was too big and they not only deducted $7.95 for the return shipping but also the original shipping charge of $9.95 which I had already paid. When I called, they said they had to do that otherwise FedEx wouldn't get paid which doesn't make any sense. Their return policy only states that the return shipping will be deducted. It also took a month from the time they received my return until I got the refund. Worst online retailer I've ever ordered from and never again.

What a horror show
I placed an order on May 29. Paid $9 for shipping that took 2 weeks. I was on vacation when the order finally arrived (clothes were supposed to be for my trip). When I tried on the clothes the fit was terrible. The pants were tiny in the waist and huge on the hips. The size S shirts were huge.
So I returned the entire order. They received the return on July 8. Paid another $8 in shipping for the return. Today is July 27. I still have no credit. I didn't even get a confirmation of the return. Thank goodness I saved the tracking info.
Not to mention I called CS twice and not only were they not helpful, but their attitude was basically tough $hit. It's like they think they're selling gold bars or diamonds.
So over 2 months and still pending. Had to file a dispute with PayPal to get my refund. Save your money and shop at Nordstrom, JCrew, Amazon or any other legit retailer that offers free fast shipping and halfway decent customer service.

Horrible Quality If you want ro pay top dollar for…
If you want ro pay top dollar for clothes that you wear, wash and toss this is the place for you. And by toss I mean In the trash. Horrible quality for price. They look great first time or two you wear then either stretch out of shape, pilling or fading. If you want quality clothes for price I would opt for another place. Mgr at Asheville store rude, condescending when garment returned for poor quality! Wasnt a big fan to begin with But definitely will not be back,there’s to many places to shop with better quality and much better customer service!!!

If you want to experience rude, call their customer service
Though I have not had a problem with their products, When I went to check status of an order they had canceled it without telling me. When I called they said they sent me a letter, I'm not sure why they would send a letter by mail when they had communicated with me via email before. But I did not get a letter nor did I get an email. Then I saw they were still available online different color. so I called and reordered it. The service representative was so rude, And the service rep that I reordered a new top was rude. These people act like your bothering them when you call them to place an order. I have never in my lifetime dealt with such awful customer service. . I'm not sure how this company stays in business.

No longer selling quality…
No longer selling quality clothing...instead, expect shoddy workmanship and cheap fabrics at premium prices. I ordered a blouse online and received a DEFECTIVE garment. One side of the front was almost an INCH longer than the other. The buttons did not match with the buttonholes on the other side. The defect was so obvious I wonder if there is ANY "quality control" at the factory! The Soft Surroundings label was sewn in crooked. When I placed my order, I did not realize that it was an "outlet" item as it was listed on the regular website. There SHOULD be a warning that you might receive a NON RETURNABLE, DEFECTIVE garment! In the past, a reputable company would cut it's brand label OUT and sell off "irregular" items to discounters rather than DECEIVE their customers into purchasing them. This is a terrible way to do business.

Lost their good reputation
Another good business gone bad by cutting quality, value and service for short terms gains on the bottom line... I ordered a button front top "final sale" item online. I checked the size measurements carefully to be sure that it would fit since it could not be returned. I never considered that I would receive a defective item! One side of the front is almost a full inch shorter than the other side and the buttons do NOT match the buttonholes on the other side. The defect is SO OBVIOUS I wonder how it got past "quality control"... apparently, there is NO "quality control". The Soft Surroundings label is sewn in crooked... in the past, a defective garment would have the label cut out (a reputable company does NOT want to be associated with defective merchandise) and be sold off as an "irregular" to discounters or overstock businesses. Instead, Soft Surroundings has sacrificed any reputation for quality for a short term gain that will eventually cause them to close their doors... just like many other BADLY managed businesses... I'm going to take sewing lessons and make my own clothes, I will not wear this kind of garbage. Shame on these folks for expecting customers to pay for their mistakes!

There is obviously a valid reason that there are NO reviews of items on their website. And that's because the overwhelming satisfaction rate of most customers is horrible! Save your time and headache, and skip this company over.

I'm no longer a purch aser of Soft Surrounding Clothing, however, on their website some items have positive and negative reviews. I said some items, not all. You are allowed to leave a review.
